A little out of the way, but well worth the cook your own steak pit. Staff was very friendly and there is a lot of nostalgia to this hotel. Built in the early 19th century and there is lots of pictures of the old days on the walls. Did not stay here, so I can not comment on the rooms.

Went to this place after a crap hotel experience in Brooks. Now remember, this hotel is over 100 years old so yes, you will see wear and tear. Our room was very clean and quaint. Old carpet but I don't care, it was super clean. I wandered aroynd checking out the antique feel of the place. 'The owners are real nice people, she's got the place from her dad. Didn't get a chance to try the food but it sure smelled damn good. If you're a practical minded gal like myself, and you appreciate old as much as I do, this was a nice place and cheap. Way better than the motel un Brooks which was way newer but a real hotel. Thanks Jody! Will see you again when pheasant hunting season is on Sherry & Kerry R.

We decided to stop in for a steak supper and was not disappointed. Loved the atmosphere, the waitress was lovely as we're Lucky & Lucifer and the food was great. I enjoyed the bacon wrapped tenderloin and my husband loved his ribeye as well. Soup was delicious. Highly recommend anyone in the area to stop in, we will be back.

The food here is absolutely fantastic. I ordered a 6 oz New York style steak and they let you grill it yourself which is a lot of fun an a great social experience. The steak came with a baked potato, garlic bread an 'everything' soup (which was fantastic) and a salad. The salad and potatoes come with a choice of a lot of toppings, buffet style. It came out to $22 before tip and tax which is a great deal. If you're ever in the area you should totally check it out! I can't speak for the hotel though as I just got food.

Great steaks that you cook up yourself. Lots of local advice available on how to get the best results. Their "Everything Soup" is delicious. I highly recommended stop if you are ever in the area.
